Olympic Torch Relay a huge thrill!
With the Olympic Torch making its final run to BC Place Stadium for tonight’s opening ceremonies of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Games, many of us at NewspaperDirect, just like thousands of other Canadians over the last several weeks, got the opportunity to capture some early Olympic spirit and excitement by cheering on Canada’s Olympic torchbearers in our very own Greater Vancouver neighborhoods!
And boy oh boy, what an incredible thrill! With spectators out en mass waving Canadian flags, singing the Canadian National Anthem and sporting their very best in Olympic gear, the energy, enthusiasm and anticipation surrounding the Games was hard to ignore.
